Several weeks ago Nick and I took a train trip from Dunedin to Pukerangi, just to get out of town for a few hours. The train, run by the Taieri Gorge Railway, makes its way south of town, where it passes by several farm paddocks (we spotted our first baby lambs of the lambing season!) before heading inland through the Taieri Gorge.
Before catching our train, we had a wander and grabbed some snacks from the farmer's market, which takes place at the railway station every Saturday morning.
We hopped aboard, grateful for the beautiful sunny day and settled in for the ride.
When we got back to Dunedin we decided to go to the city center for a beer and found a snow festival just about to start! A nice ending to lovely Saturday.
